A day trip to Belgium taking in Antwerp Berchem for some freight movements and some Brussels evening peak "P" trains for FCC driver Lawrence Chung, NXEC civil servant (driver) Andy Hannah and myself.

A quick trip to Koln with fellow driver Lawrence Chung using Eurostar, ICE and Thalys services with an overnight stay at Dusseldorf Hbf to get some last DB action for the year.

A day trip to Hamburg-Harburg, flying to and from Bremen with Riotscare in the company of Andy, Lawrence and new to the European scene, Ray.

The second pilgrimage to Lehrte in what is now becoming an annual event to this freight hot-spot just outside Hannover. A visit to Sebaldsbruck in Bremen to see the rabbit line and a trip to Seelze, Magdeburg and Hamburg Harburg also thrown in for good measure.

A two day visit to the South of Germany flying into Stuttgart, travelling to Ulm for an overnight stay followed by Augsberg and Munich on the next day before a flight back home from Friedrichshafen.

A 5 day tour of the Koln and Rhineland area of Germany, which included visits to Gremberg, Eifeltor, Deutzerfeld, Oberhausen, Dortmund, Vorhalle and Aarchen West amongst others. All in all an excellent couple of days in the autumn sun, a shame the journey home on the ferry was a bit of a shambles.

A day trip to the Hamburg region of Germany, departing from Stansted, flying to Bremen then 5 hours at Hamburg Harburg with 71 freight movements recorded. A couple of hours at Hamburg Hbf. and Altona stations before travelling to Lubeck Flughafen for a flight back to Stansted.

This is the result of not doing your homework before travelling. In weather which never happens on a UK bank holiday, I travelled along with Andy Hannah and Lawrence Chung to Antwerp Berchem where no freight trains were seen. At least we saw two of the new Traxx locos currently being used on the Amsterdam-Brussels services.

A trip to Brussels with my wife and daughter for our wedding aniversary and a hotel a stones throw from Midi meant a few trips to the station just to see what was about (It wasn't planned, honestly).

A day trip to Paris in the company of fellow FCC driver Lawrence Chung and NXEC driver Andy Hannah.

A gathering of enthusiasts in Lehrte near Hannover for a few days in this rail freight "hot-spot". The odd trip out to Braunsweig, Seelze depot, Hannover, Celle, Uelzen and Hamburg thrown in for good measure.
